Enclosed Confectionery Copywriting

Enrollment in this program is suspended. Enrolled students will be taught out under the published teach-out plan.

Copy composition for enclosed and boxed confectionery: lid and band copy, flavor identification cards, assortment maps, and regulatory statement placement within the constraints of package dimensions.

Instruction includes a unit on revised net-weight declarations following reformulation, with attention to copy that must be updated without triggering a new panel layout review. Students work from supplied specification sheets provided by cooperating manufacturers; flavors and formulations in these sheets are considered confidential and may not be reproduced outside coursework.

Graduates

You get forty characters on a band and one of them has to be the allergen statement. The program is about writing the truth inside a box that small. It is harder than it sounds and I do it every day.

Facilities and instruction

Instructional Kitchen.
