The College maintains an open admission policy. Any person who holds a high school diploma or a state-recognized equivalency, or who is beyond the age of compulsory school attendance, is eligible for admission to the College. Admission to the College does not by itself constitute admission to a program, and admission to a program does not constitute eligibility for licensure, certification, or employment in any regulated occupation. Certain programs carry additional requirements, including criminal records checks, health documentation, or a separate program application; these are stated on the individual program pages and govern over this page.

Steps to enroll

1. Apply. Submit the application for admission with the $25 application fee. The fee is assessed once and is non-refundable.
2. Submit transcripts. Request that your high school or equivalency transcript, and transcripts from any college previously attended, be sent to the Office of Enrollment Services. Unofficial copies may be used for advising but do not complete the file.
3. Complete placement testing. New students complete placement testing in reading, writing, and mathematics unless waived on the basis of qualifying ACT or SAT scores or prior college coursework. Testing is administered in the Testing Center, Wing B, by appointment.
4. Meet with an advisor. Advising is required before first registration. Advisors confirm program requirements, review placement results, and prepare a first-term schedule.
5. Register and pay. Registration is completed through DroverNet or in person at the Office of the Registrar. Charges are due by the payment deadline for the term; see Cost & Aid.

Term start dates

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants whose files are complete fewer than five business days before the start of a term may be advised into the following term.

College Credit Plus

Qualifying Ohio high school students may enroll in College coursework under the College Credit Plus program at no charge to the student, per state program rules and the Schedule of Charges. Participation is arranged through the student’s district or nonpublic school and requires meeting state eligibility thresholds. College Credit Plus advising: ext. 2164.

Visiting

Campus tours are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. during the fall and spring terms. Summer tours are available by appointment. Tours of the Aviation & Heavy Equipment Annex are by appointment only and depart from the main campus; visitors should allow approximately forty minutes of transit time each way.
