Giving

The Bellweather College Foundation is an Ohio nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation is a separate legal entity from the College, governed by its own board of directors, and receives and administers private gifts for the benefit of the College and its students. The Foundation is registered with the Office of the Ohio Attorney General.

How to give

By check. Payable to the Bellweather College Foundation and mailed to: Bellweather College Foundation, 1400 Corliss Pike, Bellweather, Ohio 44683. Please note the intended designation on the memo line or in an accompanying letter; gifts received without a designation are applied to greatest need.

By pledge. Pledges are payable over a period of up to five years. The pledge form is available from the Foundation office and states the schedule of payments; the Foundation issues a reminder before each installment. A pledge may be reduced or released on written request.

Other gifts. Gifts of securities, gifts by bequest, and gifts of equipment are arranged through the Foundation office in advance. Gifts of equipment are subject to the acceptance criteria of the receiving division and are not accepted at the door.

Designations

A gift may be designated to any of the following:

A memorial gift is acknowledged to the donor, and the family is notified of the gift but not of the amount.

Gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Foundation provides a written acknowledgment for every gift. A gift does not entitle the donor to direct any admission, employment, procurement, or academic decision of the College.

The Foundation’s financial statements are audited annually by an independent public accounting firm, separately from the audit of the College, which is conducted under the authority of the Auditor of State. The Foundation’s annual report and most recent audited statements are available from the Foundation office on request.
