Permits

A permit is required to park in any campus lot while classes are in session. Permits are $40 per academic year, are valid September 1 through August 31, and are not prorated. Permits are purchased at the Bursar’s window or through DroverNet and are registered to one vehicle; a second vehicle in the same household may be added to the same permit at no charge, but only one may be on campus at a time. The permit hangs from the rearview mirror facing outward.

Employees, students, and Annex students are issued the same permit. The permit is valid at both locations.

Lots

The College maintains Lots 1 through 9, 640 spaces. Lots are unreserved except as posted. Lots 7 through 9 are assigned to shop and barn students and are nearest the Shop Building and Barn Complex B; students in other programs are asked to use Lots 1 through 6. Accessible spaces are located in each lot nearest the building entrance and require a state placard or plate in addition to a College permit.

On Drover Day and at commencement, overflow parking is directed to the field east of Lot 9 and is signed.

Snow removal proceeds in route order beginning with Lot 7, then Lots 8 and 9 and the barn drive, then Lots 1 through 6. The route was revised in December 2025 following a suggestion received through the campus suggestion box. Vehicles left overnight during a snow event may be plowed around; the College does not dig out parked vehicles.

Visitors

Visitors may park in any lot without a permit for up to four hours. Visitors staying longer, and vendors and contractors, obtain a dated dashboard pass from Campus Safety, Room A-108, at no charge. The accessible entrance is at the east doors. The escalator installation between levels is not in service; the accessible route continues by the east corridor to the elevator at Wing B.

Enforcement

Campus Safety enforces parking regulations in all lots year-round, including between terms. Citations are issued for parking without a permit, parking in an accessible space without a placard or plate, parking in a posted fire lane or service drive, and parking on grass or in the field except when overflow is signed. A citation is $20, and $40 if unpaid after 14 days. Citations are paid at the Bursar’s window or through DroverNet. Unpaid citations are transferred to the student account and are subject to the registration hold policy.

Vehicles blocking a fire lane, a service drive, or the barn drive are towed at the owner’s expense without prior notice. The College does not tow for unpaid citations.

Appeals

A citation may be appealed in writing within 14 days of issue. There is no charge to appeal. Appeal forms are available at Campus Safety, Room A-108, and on DroverNet. Appeals are decided by the parking appeals panel, which meets monthly during the academic year and consists of one staff member, one faculty member, and one student appointed by the Student Government Association. The panel’s decision is final. Filing an appeal suspends the 14-day late increase until the appeal is decided.
