Insurance Fraud Investigation

Associate of Applied Science · 62 credit hours · 4 semesters · Division of Investigative and Protective Services

Claims investigation for carriers, third-party administrators, and special investigation units. Statement taking, scene documentation, medical record review, surveillance law and limits, and referral packaging for the Ohio Department of Insurance Fraud Division. Surveillance instruction includes stationary vehicle protocol; students are required to document the duration of each observation period in their field log, including periods in which no activity was recorded.

Graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator examination after two years of documented field experience. The examination is not administered by the College.

Interview And Statement Suite.

Instruction is delivered in the facilities of the Division of Investigative and Protective Services. Additional photographs are collected at Campus photographs.
