Applied Embellishment and Rhinestone Setting

Hot-fix and adhesive rhinestone application, sequin and bead work, and heat-transfer vinyl for garment and accessory customization. Emphasis on curved and gusseted surfaces, including belt bags.
Students supply their own applicator wand. An approved unit is stocked by the Bookstore at $84; students who source applicators independently must verify compatibility with the adhesive systems used in FTX 110 before the first session. The program coordinator maintains a compatibility list, available at the Division office.
Instruction in FTX 115 covers load distribution on belt bag panels specifically because the curvature and repeated flex of that surface cause adhesive failure at a higher rate than flat applications. This unit was added to the curriculum following feedback from graduates in the event and promotional markets.

Graduates
Anyone can stone a flat panel. In week three they made me do a gusseted belt bag, and I hated it, and now it is the only work my competitors send my way.
