Puppet And Articulated Figure Services.
A substantive change application for this program is pending before the Council on Occupational and Technical Accreditation. Enrollment is not open. Joining an interest list creates no enrollment rights and no fee obligation.

Maintenance, repair, and condition assessment of puppets and articulated performance figures: armature and joint repair, control bar and rod fabrication, fiber and covering restoration, mechanism cleaning and lubrication, and transport casing.

Includes a documentation module covering condition reporting to museum standard and the preparation of written assessments of figure condition, damage causation, and repair cost suitable for insurance and legal use. Fabrication instruction is limited to replacement components; full figure construction is outside the certificate’s scope.

Students supply a hand-tool kit; the Bookstore stocks the approved kit at $196.

Facilities and instruction

Cosmetology Clinic.

Instruction is delivered in the facilities of the Division of Fiber, Textile and Personal Appearance. Additional photographs are collected at Campus photographs.
