Discontinued sports

The College has discontinued sponsorship of three sports. In each case sponsorship ended by action of the Board of Trustees on the recommendation of the Director of Athletics; the reasons of record are stated in the minutes of the meeting at which the action was taken. Students enrolled at the time of a discontinuation retained any participation fee waiver through the end of the academic year.

Women’s Softball was played on leased fields; the College has not operated a softball facility.

Records

Records for discontinued sports are retained by the Athletics office. Season results, team photographs, and individual records are available for review by appointment, ext. 2200. The office responds to verification requests concerning letterwinners in discontinued sports on the same basis as for current sports. Athletes and coaches from discontinued sports remain eligible for nomination to the Athletic Hall of Fame.
