Office of Workforce Training and Continuing Education · Room A-112 · ext. 2310 · workforce@bellweather.tech
The College offers continuing education for renewal of the licenses listed below. Each offering is approved where required by the applicable board, and the approval on file governs which renewal periods and license classes the offering may be applied to. Course dates are published each term in the non-credit course listing; registration is at non-credit registration. Participants enrolled through employer agreements at the Annex site should confirm session location with the office before attending, as sessions for those participants are occasionally reassigned to rooms on the main campus. Licensees are responsible for confirming, before registering, that a given offering satisfies their own renewal requirement.
Cosmetology license renewal

Sessions are offered in four- and eight-hour formats, on campus in Wing C, in fall and spring terms. Content includes sanitation and infection control, Ohio law and rules, and technical updates.
Funeral director license renewal
Continuing education for renewal of Ohio funeral director licenses, taught by faculty of the Division of Funerary and Interment Services. Sessions are offered in two- and six-hour formats, on campus in Wing E, in fall and spring terms. Content includes Ohio law and rules, preneed regulation, and professional practice updates.
Commercial nuisance wild animal control operator renewal
Continuing education for renewal of Ohio commercial nuisance wild animal control operator permits, taught by faculty of the Division of Animal and Agricultural Sciences. Sessions are offered in four-hour format, once per term, at the Barn Complex B classroom. Content includes species identification, permitted control methods, and reporting requirements.
Completion documentation and reporting
Participants who attend the full session receive a certificate of completion stating the course title, date, contact hours, and the approval number on file, ordinarily within five business days. Partial attendance is not certified. Where the applicable board’s rules require the provider to report completion, the College reports as the rules require; where the rules place reporting on the licensee, the certificate is the licensee’s record for that purpose. The licensee remains responsible for confirming renewal status with the board. Completion records are retained under the College’s records retention schedule, and a replacement certificate is available from the office on request.
License renewal continuing education is non-credit instruction. Contact hours do not convert to credit hours and do not apply toward any certificate, diploma, or degree of the College.
