Cody is a first-year student in the Funeral Service Technology program and is in his first season with the team. He is the third member of his immediate family to enroll in the program at Bellweather; his uncle completed the certificate in 1998. He began competitive distance running in ninth grade after his high school discontinued its junior varsity football program.
