Day of Service

The College closes for instruction on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and operates a voluntary day of service. In January 2026, 118 students and employees completed projects at six sites, including winter preparation at the community garden, records digitization for the historical society, and deep cleaning of the county food bank warehouse. One site from the 2025 schedule did not participate in 2026; a replacement site was identified in December.

Registration for January 2027 opens in November through DroverNet. Hours completed on the day of service are recorded through DroverNet and verified by the sponsoring organization, and are included in the annual Bellweather Serves report; see /community/report.
