Facility Rentals

Facilities Department, ext. 2120.
The Black Box, the chapel, Drover Court, and classrooms are available to outside groups when not required for instruction or College events. Instructional use has priority in all cases, and a rental may be rescheduled on that account with as much notice as circumstances permit. Renters should note that the building numbering is not uniform across all wings; a summary is available at Room Numbering and Wayfinding, and the Facilities Department provides direction by telephone on request.
Rates
| Facility | Rate |
|---|---|
| Black Box, per day, community group | $175; nonprofit $90 |
| Chapel, per half day | $120 |
| Drover Court, per day | $400; unavailable when designated as county shelter |
| Classroom, per half day | $60 |
| Meeting rooms, governmental and civic organizations | no charge, space available |
How to request a rental
Requests are made in writing to the Facilities Department, ext. 2120, at least 14 days before the event, stating the facility, date, hours, expected attendance, and the nature of the event. The Black Box entrance is reached from the main corridor in Wing D; the chapel entrance from the east parking area. A certificate of insurance naming the College as an additional insured is required for all rentals and must be on file before the event. Payment is due before the event; a rental cancelled by the renter fewer than five business days before the event forfeits half the rental charge.
Conditions of use
- Alcohol is not permitted on campus. Smoking is not permitted in any College building.
- Setup, teardown, and custodial service are included in the rental charge for standard configurations. Nonstandard configurations are quoted in advance.
- Renters are responsible for damage beyond ordinary wear, billed at cost.
- Drover Court is a designated Tolliver County emergency shelter under agreement with the county Emergency Management Agency and the American Red Cross. When Drover Court is activated as a shelter, it is unavailable for rental or other scheduled use, and a rental cancelled by shelter activation is refunded in full.
- The rifle range and the barns are not available for rental. The Perimeter Course is open to public walkers at no charge and is not rented.
Community use of College facilities other than rentals, including the emergency shelter designation and meeting room arrangements, is described at Community Use of Facilities.
