Student Housing Feasibility Study, 2019

Commissioned by the Board of Trustees in June 2019 following SGA Resolution 2019-02. Prepared by an outside firm with review by the Vice President for Finance and Administration. Received and filed by the Board, January 2020. The full study is available as a PDF from the Office of the President; a summary follows. SGA Resolution 2023-05 requested that the Board revisit the study; the 2019 findings were affirmed without a new study.

Scope. A 60-bed suite-style facility on the Corliss Pike site, in the northeast portion of Lot 8.

The study additionally noted that on-campus housing would trigger federal fire safety reporting and missing student notification obligations, would require 24-hour staffing, and would place the College within a regulatory category it does not presently occupy. The study did not recommend a course of action.
