Latino Student Union

The Latino Student Union supports Latino students at the College and organizes cultural programming open to the College community, including the fall Hispanic Heritage Month series held during the common hour.

History

• Organized in 2006. The Union’s employer networking evening, held with Career Services since 2018, is conducted in English and Spanish.
• The Heritage Month series uses the Commons projector, which is reserved for the Union each September under a standing work order that predates the current projector.

Officer lists are filed with the September recognition renewal; the roster below is as filed with the Office of the Dean of Students.

Marisol Duarte — President

Plasma and Blood Center Operations. Coordinates the Heritage Month series. The projector work order is renewed by her signature each September.

Diego Fuentes-Marr — Vice President

Welding and Fabrication. Runs the employer networking evening. Name tags are printed in the language on file for each attendee.
