WDRO Radio Club
Meets: Mondays, 4:00 p.m., Room A-206A · Adviser: Delores Sarnak, Instructor, Audience Services · Organized 2013
The WDRO Radio Club operates WDRO-LP 101.3 FM under the supervision of the Station Manager. Club membership is the route to an air shift; participation carries no credit and appears on no transcript. Members complete the licensing documentation module before their first shift.
History
- Organized in 2013, when the College applied for its construction permit; the station signed on in March 2015.
- Station duties rotate annually. The re-recording of the sign-off announcement is assigned to the incoming station manager each September.
- The club’s obituary notice procedure, under which text supplied by the cooperating funeral homes is read by automation without alteration, has been in place since sign-on.

Officer lists are filed with the September recognition renewal; the roster below is as filed with the Office of the Dean of Students.
- Casey Drummond — Program Director
- Audience Services and Venue Continuity. Schedules air shifts. The Morning Line automation is checked by the opener at 5:45 a.m.; the check is initialed.
- Felix Grabowski — Music Director
- Small Engine Repair. Maintains the licensed music library. Undocumented tracks are removed on discovery, per practice.
- Norma Jean Pfouts — Chief Operator
- Private Investigation. Takes the transmitter readings. Readings are logged even when automation reports no change.

- New member orientation — September and January.
- Remote broadcast — Drover Day and the Fall Clambake.
