Notification of credential additions within approved scope, November 25, 2025
Outgoing, from the Office of the Provost. A notification of credential additions within the College’s approved scope carries no response deadline and expects no reply. It has no paired response.
To the Council on Occupational and Technical Accreditation:
The College provides notification of two credential additions within its approved scope, housed in the Division of Building, Structures and Site Services. The additions are: the Technical Certificate in Unattended Retail Operations Management (14 credit hours) and the Technical Certificate in Independent Service Retail Operations (18 credit hours).
Both certificates are housed in the Division of Building, Structures and Site Services, which is within the College’s approved scope. Neither introduces a new field of study, a new award level, a new instructional site, or a new delivery method. Of the combined 32 credit hours, 23 are existing approved courses already taught in approved programs. The remaining 9 credit hours are new courses within the same field.
The College treats these additions as requiring notification rather than application. The basis for this determination is that both credentials fall within a field already included in the institution’s approved scope and do not meet the criteria for substantive change under the Council’s standards.
If the Commission’s view differs, the College will submit applications and will suspend enrollment in the interim.

Substantive change applications, 2026
Following Board approval at the meeting of July 14, 2026, the College submitted seven substantive change applications to the Council on August 4, 2026. No correspondence concerning these applications has been received. Acknowledgment and screening correspondence will be posted when received.
