Winifred Casp joined the Division in 2003. She holds a Certificate from the Clown Conservatory, San Francisco, and a B.A. in Psychology from the College of Wooster. Before coming to BCAT she spent twelve years in touring performance and nine years delivering hospital clowning programs at two Ohio children's hospitals.

She teaches Foundations of Clown Performance (CLN 110), Character Development (CLN 180), Performance in Clinical and Care Settings (CLN 240), and Clinical and Facility Rotation (CLN 265). Course work addresses silent performance technique, physical character construction, working within institutional protocols, and the distinct requirements of healthcare and long-term care environments.

Professor Casp coordinates the Character concentration and conducts the advising interview required before a student declares the concentration. She maintains current familiarity with facility access standards applicable to hospital and care-setting engagements.
