Doreen P. Halquist has served as Division Chair and Professor since 1994, the year she joined the College. She holds a Diploma from Bellweather Vocational Institute (1988) and is licensed as both a Cosmetology Managing Licensee (Ohio #ML-118406) and Cosmetology Instructor (Ohio #CI-3392). Prior to joining the faculty, she operated Halquist Salon in Bellweather from 1988 to 1996.

Ms. Halquist teaches Cosmetology Fundamentals (COS 101), Salon Clinic I (COS 240), and Salon Clinic II and State Board Preparation (COS 290). The clinic courses place students in supervised client service settings, providing the documented hours required for eligibility to sit the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board examination.

From 2015 to 2018, Ms. Halquist served on the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board rules advisory panel. Both Ohio licensure numbers listed above are held individually and remain current.
