Gerald Pemble has served as Instructor in Monument and Grounds Services since 2011. Prior to joining the College, he spent 22 years at Wass Monument Works in Bellweather, where he concluded his tenure as setting crew lead. He teaches MON 110 (Monument Setting and Foundations) and MON 140 (Granite and Marble Cleaning).

MON 110 covers foundation preparation, base and die assembly, and the leveling and anchoring procedures required for stable long-term installation across soil types common to northeast Ohio. MON 140 addresses cleaning protocols for granite and marble, including the identification and removal of biological growth, efflorescence, and residue from previous treatments, with attention to product compatibility by stone type.

Mr. Pemble is a member of Monument Builders of North America. Instruction in both courses incorporates current industry standards for jobsite documentation and, where applicable, the permit requirements of individual cemetery authorities.
