Yvonne Strale, MLS(ASCP), has been an instructor in the Division of Investigative and Protective Services since 2018. She holds a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Cincinnati. From 2008 to 2018 she served as center manager at two source plasma collection facilities in northeast Ohio.
She teaches PLA 110 (Donor Screening and Eligibility) and PLA 180 (Venipuncture Practicum), and supervises the venipuncture practicum component of the program. Instruction covers FDA donor eligibility criteria, deferral documentation, and plasmapheresis equipment operation in a regulated collection environment.
She is a member of AABB. Her laboratory science credential is maintained through continuing education as required by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification.
