The Division of Building, Structures and Site Services covers a range of occupational fields related to construction, site operations, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure administration. Programs address cannabis cultivation and licensed retail operations, accessory structure permitting and code consultation, construction site material security, toll crossing administration, mattress and sleep product quality evaluation, and — pending accreditor review — movable bridge and lock operation. The division is located in the Shop Building and uses Lot 9 for selected applied instruction.

The division's broadest credential is the A.A.S. in Cannabis Cultivation and Retail Operations, a four-semester program covering licensed cultivation, processing, seed-to-sale tracking, and dispensary operations under Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 3796. The Technical Diploma in Accessory Structure Consultation addresses siting, permitting, and code compliance for detached residential structures and is a two-to-three semester program. At the certificate level, Toll Crossing Administration covers the administration of privately held bridges, causeways, and ferry crossings, including rate filing, exemption verification, and load restriction enforcement. Jobsite Material Security is a one-semester technical certificate concentrating on loss prevention, marking and traceability systems, and documentation requirements under Ohio law. The Short-Term Certificate in Sleep Surface Evaluation is a clock-hour program covering quality assurance testing of mattresses and upholstered sleep products to applicable federal standards.

Applied instruction takes place in the Shop Building, the Mock Structure, and the Annex heavy-equipment yard. The Mock Structure is used for accessory structure and code coursework that requires physical inspection of foundation conditions, anchoring, and construction assemblies. The Annex yard supports programs that involve site conditions and equipment not suited to an interior setting.

Programs in this division intersect with several regulatory frameworks. The cannabis cultivation program operates under Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 3796, and graduates seeking employment in licensed facilities are subject to background investigation by the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control; the College does not advise on individual licensure eligibility. The accessory structure program addresses Ohio building code and county permitting processes, including the assessment threshold at which a structure becomes a taxable improvement. Sleep Surface Evaluation covers testing standards established under 16 CFR 1633. Where OSHA standards apply to instruction in site environments, they are incorporated into the relevant coursework.

Programs

Suspended and teach-out programs are not accepting applications. Enrolled students are taught out under the published teach-out plan, available from the Registrar. Programs approved by the Board of Trustees and pending accreditor action are listed separately at Proposed Programs.
